May the Fourth Be With You

In preparation for today, I googled "Star Wars food" and I found a plethora of ideas. My favorite ones came from the "official" Star Wars blog. This lady's party in particular was... unbelievable:

I borrowed some of her ideas, mainly the blue milk and Hans in jello.

I also found this cookbook for kids with a recipe for "Princess Leia Danish Dos." The recipes in the book aren't necessarily Star Wars themed, just creatively named, but it's a fun way to get kids interested in baking.

Han coming out of the jello came out better than I expected.

I love you.
I know.

Mac & Me

My favorite is the Meatloaf-Mac & Cheese:

Today's Treat: Gingerbread Butter

Yes, Christmastime and has come and gone, but this gingerbread butter from Williams & Sonoma is too freaking good to only enjoy one month a year. Best served on warm bread with a hot tea. (While also curled up on your couch watching britcoms. Or Larry Sanders. Is it weird that Larry Sanders is becoming one of my comfort shows?)

One Neapolitan Shake Please!

Well, as most people would agree, In & Out's secret menu isn't much of a secret anymore. I first learned of the Neapolitan shake about five years ago and over time I've noticed, I'm usually not the only one in line ordering it. That aside, I still found this to be an informative read:

Fries well done? Yes, please. I would also like to address all those that say "I don't know what the big deal is, In & Out isn't that good." Let me remind you, it's FAST FOOD. It's cheap. They have a drive-thru. You're honestly going to tell me McDonald's or Wendy's has a better burger? No way.

Tour de Cookie

January 30, 2011 9am University of Arizona Mall

"Participants will race/ride between 8 cookie-stands (hosted by local clubs and organizations) and purchase/eat as many pastries as possible."

I found out about this a little too late and my bike has a flat tire. Rest assured, if there is a 4th Annual Tour de Cookie, I will be there. Part of the proceeds will fund the Tucson Kids' Try-athlon:
